Duties:
1. Perform fabrication, assembly, installation, repair, replacement, adjustment, and alignment of parts and components. 2. Perform work from three dimensional blueprints, sketches, diagrams, technical manuals, work orders, inspection reports, and other similar documentation. 3. Conduct functional check of systems for proper function. 4. Perform normal troubleshooting to diagnose malfunction or failures on the following aircraft systems: aircraft equipment furnishings, fire protection, fuel system, hydraulics, landing gear, doors, fuselage, stabilizer, rotor systems, power plant and engine controls. 5. Diagnose the cause of malfunctions, identifies failures and determines corrective action to restore systems to required operating specifications and standards. 6. Perform required corrective action by making repairs, adjustments or replacements. 7. Maintain close working relationship with assigned lead person with regard to schedules, priorities, availability of parts, supplies and tools, and special instructions as required. 8. Perform work from blueprints, sketches, vendor and service manuals, and other source data to obtain dimensions, locations, alignment, tolerances and other specification requirements. 9. Use a variety of standard and specialized hand tools, power equipment, measuring devices and test equipment in completing work assignments. 10. Assure that completed work complies with FAA regulations, customer requirements, and company specifications. 11. Coordinate with various departments regarding requirements for materials, supplies, equipment and job schedules. 12. Complete forms and records pertaining to completion of assigned work. 13. Maintain responsibility to keep scrap at minimum levels. 14. Follow all OSHA, safety and environmental regulations. 15. Must be able to support and train other aircraft technicians with technical knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:
Education: HS diploma or equivalent. Some trade school desirable. A current A&P or FCC license is required.
Experience: Minimum of six years related experience. BK117 experience is desirable for LUH.
Essential Functions: Requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and diagrams, and apply standard shop practices in the fabrication and repair modifications of aircraft structures and repairs. Must be able to move about in cramped and/or awkward positions. must be able to move about freely in areas with moving aircraft and parts; work in areas where exposure to chemicals and fumes will occur. Must be able to handle heavy components. Requires the ability to lift up to 60 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to bend, stoop, and squat; and to operate various types of power tools. Must be able to operate a variety of standard and specialized hand tools, power equipment, measuring devices and test equipment; and have working knowledge of shop mathematics. Able to travel away from the facility to accomplish assigned tasks.

- Work involves: replacing or repairing worn or damaged components, such as fuel controls, fuel pumps, oil pumps, and engine mounted gearboxes, and compressor bleed valves using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment; removing engine from aircraft, using hoist or forklift truck, disassembling and inspecting parts for wear, cracks, security, or other defects, and repairing or replacing defective engine parts and reassembles and installs engine in aircraft.
- Adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories, performs preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections, performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including, cleaning screens and filters, greasing moving parts.
- Supervises the jacking and towing of aircraft, enters in the maintenance records description of the work performed and verifies the work was performed satisfactorily, may service engines and airframe components at line station making repairs, short of overhaul, required to keep aircraft in safe operating condition, may specialize in work, repair and modification of structural, precision, and functional spare parts and assemblies, and may specialize in engine repair.

Knowledge & Skills:- Knowledge of equipment related to individual requirements (AH-1, UH-1, Bell 212, Bell 205/204).

- Hold current State drivers licenses with a clean record to obtain a Government drivers license.
